What are Indirect Fired Heaters?

Indirect Fired Heaters produce heat through a heat exchanger. Air is heated by passing over the heat exchanger and expelling clean, breathable air on the other end. The combustion by-products remain within the heat exchanger and are then exhausted out of the indirect fired heater.

Our line of indirect fired heaters produces between 175K BTUs and 588K BTUs and serves various applications.

For instance, our indirect diesel heater selections include the BT-400NEX-D, The All-In-One HPL 600D7 and the astonishing recirculating indirect diesel heaters, the BT Blaze 400D Turbo and 600D Turbo.

Our Indirect Diesel Fired Heaters

The BT 400NEX Series of indirect fired heaters have been used by major airlines worldwide and the Canadian and US military. Here is a fun fact, one of our earlier BT-400 indirect heater was shown in a scene from one of my favourite Marvel movies released in April 2019.

Indirect Fired HeatersThe BT400 NEX-D is highly portable in which a single person can lift and move the heater with little force. Additionally, this indirect heater can operate for up to 14 hours, discharging clean hot air where and when you need it. This unit can be ducted up-to 30ft from where you intend to send the heat.

Indirect Fired HeatersThe HPL 600D7 is another excellent indirect heater that produces 588K BTUs of clean, breathable air. This unit is a bit different from the BT400 NEX-D. For starters, the HPL 600 D7 combines 3 essential tools that can be found and are often required on many job sites. These tools include an indirect fired heater, bright L.E.D stadium lights on a tower that extends up to 23ft into the air and a power generator that makes the HPL completely stand-alone.

This unit can be placed in the most remote locations where power, heat and light are not readily available. This indirect heater is diesel-powered and can operate up to 19 hours on full load. One of the great features of this unit is the indirect fired heater that contains recirculating capabilities. This means that HPL can recycle the hot air it produces. This is accomplished by the heater first generating the heat through the heat exchange and expelling the clean hot air to your desired location; the heater then consumes the air back into the heater, re-heats it, and discharges it again. This cycle helps reduce the amount of fuel and energy used, which equals money savings.

Indirect Fired HeatersThe recirculating indirect fired heater used in the HPL600D7 is the same unit we have available and sold separately, called the BT Blaze 600D Turbo. The HPL 600D7 dimensions come in at 135″ L x 95″ W x 108″ H, where the BT Blaze 600D Turbo dimension comes in at 76.7”L x 31”W x 57.6”H. There is a bit of a difference in sizes here. As previously mentioned in the HPL description above, the BT Blaze 600D Turbo and the BT Blaze 400D Turbo are both indirect diesel heaters with recirculating capabilities. They can recycle the heat it produces, which equals money savings. Another important fact to mention here, which applies to the HPL, is that the heater can be ducted to 150ft from the location you heat up. Obtaining the full recirculating mode, the inlet ducting can be duct to 50ft from the desired location.
The BT Blaze 600D turbo can output a maximum temperature of 200 °F (93°C) with a maximum air delivery rate of 5,500 CFM.

The BT Blaze 400D turbo produces 399K BTUs with a maximum temperature of 200 °F (93°C) and a maximum air delivery rate of 5,500 CFM and static pressures of 3″. Like the BT Blaze 600D Turbo, this heater features a stainless steel heat exchanger, Beckett burners, digital temperature readout and requires only 8.5 amps of electrical power.

As you can see, we have a great selection of indirect fired heaters available to you no matter where you are located in the world.
