BT 400NEX SERIES – Portable Indirect Fired Diesel & Gas Fired Heaters. The “one and only” engine driven Herman Nelson heater is engineered and built for the most extreme cold conditions producing heated clean air instantly wherever & whenever it’s required. BT400 NEX-D5

Portable Indirect Diesel Fired – Diesel Engine Driven (Temperature range 150 °F – 250 °F)

The BT400 NEX-D5 is a Kubota diesel engine driven stand-alone indirect fired heater producing 400,000 BTU/H featuring a high efficiency stainless steel heat exchanger which exhausts all combustion gases up the exhaust stack. This allows the BT400 NEX-D5 to provide 100% breathable air which can be blown into an aircraft cabin or engine, a worksite or building. The heater is designed to operate in extremely cold temperatures – below -40 °F/C and. The BT400 NEX-D5 is also certified for indoor use, operating free-standing inside a building provided that the exhaust fumes are plumbed up a stack to the outside of the building. This creates a 400,000 BTU portable furnace while the electronic temperature controls the temperature. Certified by O-TL to UL 733-1993 to CSA Standards.

Portable Indirect Gasoline Fired – Gasoline Engine Driven (Temperature range 150 °F – 250 °F)

The Honda 5.5 HP gasoline engine driven BT400 NEX-G2 is designed to burn gasoline and to operate in extreme cold weather conditions down to -40 °F/C and below with a heat rise of 350 °F. This means that if the ambient temperature is at -40 °F, the heat at the outlet will still be 250 °F. This is the best in the industry. The Herman Nelson heater is used by both the US and Canadian military and most major airlines around the world. Built in Canada, to withstand the brutal Canadian winters. This heater has been in continuous production with ongoing technological improvements since 1973. In 2010 the original Herman Nelson was upgraded to full electronic temperature control and valves. Easier to operate, more reliable and economical to maintain. Certified by O-TL to UL 733-1993 to CSA Stanadards
